I’m thinking either 2132 or 2140. I’m a 17 year old male if that helps.

okay, for a 17-year old guy, then I’d certainly get the 2132 Ray Bans. The Wayfarers are great sunglasses, and any kind should last you years if you take care of them. The differences between the two are pretty much nothing, quality-wise, but do look a bit different in the frames and the lenses. I defintly think that black frames and lenses would look great, because everyone is wearing the brown ones or the aviator-style, and it would be cool knowing that you’re wearing something different than everyone else.

Monday is Nerd Day at school. I have some cheap plastic sunglasses (they look like these: http://www.pen.ulugtekin.com/Ulugtekin%20Luxury/Vintage/Vintage_Ray_Ban_Wayfarer_Sunglasses/Ray_Ban_Wayfarer_B&L_5022_5.JPG) and I took the lenses out to make them geek glasses. Would it be weird to wear glasses without glass in them?

I never replaced the sunglasses I lost in my Russian River kayaking disaster, and I have a trip to the warmer climes of Austin, Texas coming up, so I decided it was time to acquire a new pair. I wanted to go somewhat retro, and originally had a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers in mind, but I quickly decided that they were all wrong for my round-ish face. Instead I found this pair by the Italian eyewear maker Persol. I think their shape and color suit me quite nicely.
